Are sessions in person or remote?
Classes and sessions may be offered in person or remotely, depending on the service. Remote sessions are conducted by phone or video and are equally effective for this work.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies widely depending on the individual's goals, where they're at in their process, and what they're working with. Some people experience the shift they're looking for and feel complete with one session, while others work over time to rebuild stability.
For many, this work is a process, much like peeling and onion. It can often take more than one session to fully clear out a deeply embedded pattern. Every session frees up a level of your energy and clears a path to your next step. This allows the body and nervous system time to catch up and integrate the work you are doing.
Is this safe for trauma survivors?
Yes, this work is trauma-aware. Depending on your unique circumstances, more one-on-one work may be appropriate to develop a practice tailored to your unique needs. There is no forced emotional release. Safety, containment, and nervous system capacity are central priorities.
Can this make things worse?
When practiced correctly, the work is stabilizing. However, any deep internal practice can surface underlying patterns and can be catalytic in nature creating what we call “growth periods”. This is where the body and spirit creates a "growth period" as your life and your body recalibrate to match the steps you took energetically. As you "light up" and release old patterns, energies, and emotions, that your body and energy system has been unconsciously holding you can re-experience them as they're exiting your system.
